Outgoing Governor, Idris Wada of Kogi State
Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State will today, Wednesday, January 20 formally dissolve his executive cabinet to allow for the assumption of office by APC candidate, Yahaya Bello, who won the last election.
The transition committee, headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, is also expected to brief the governor before submitting its document to the governor-elect’s transition committee.
Wada’s tenure will end on January 26, and would be handing-over power to the governor-elect, Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday, January 27; which will not give room for another Wednesday weekly exco meeting.
The governor after the last November election (which he lost), has commissioned the ultra- modern Odu-ogboyaga Specialist hospital, and flag-off the N4.8 billion Ganaja fly-over bridge.
Aside the motor park to be commission today, Wada is also expected to commission the Kogi hotel; renovated and expanded by his administration before exiting government.
