Visa issuance for Nigeria in South Africa has been stopped momentarily as the visa headquarters of Nigeria in the country is currently unable to issue visas for business, visitor or tourist visa applicants, Nigerian Bulletin reports.

According to a notice on the visa headquarter's website, the "VisaHQ does not provide service for visas to Nigeria".

Liz Budge, manager of Ocean Air Travel in Johannesburg, confirmed the issue saying, "The consulate has no visa labels and that means no visas can be issued at all till they receive stock".

Budge said the Nigerian visa will remain unavailable until mid-February
