Another Tragedy: Nigerian Player Dies After Undergoing Appendix Surgery

Another tragedy has hit the Nigerian football world as a popular midfielder in the country league as lost his life after undergoing appendix surgery.

22-year old midfielder, Eweje Oladele Michael, who played for Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Shooting Stars FC in Ibadan last season, lost his life after undergoing appendix ‎surgery as another tragedy hits the Nigerian football world.
 
His death was confirmed by his club, Shooting stars’ media officer, Jubril Arowolo, who disclosed that he died after a nearly successful appendix operation. 
 
It was learnt that Eweje played for Shooting Stars in the first half of last season before moving to former club, Remo Stars, during the mid-season transfer window.
 
This is another death occurrence recorded in Nigerian football following the death of former Nasarawa United captain, Baba Idris, and host of other death tragedies of Nigerian players last year.
