Fire Outbreak Averted At Popular Jabi Lake Mall In Abuja

It was later gathered that the fire started from the kitchen when the workers were cooking.

 

According to SaharaReporters, private security guards attached to Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja on Saturday night averted a fire outbreak in the shopping plaza.

The fire incident, which caused stir in the complex, was said to have started from Cilantro Restaurant and Bar located at the rear of the mall near waterfront at about 7:12pm.

It was gathered that the fire started from the kitchen when the workers were cooking. 

Manager of the restaurant alerted security guards at the facility to the situation.

Recall that Next Cash and Carry Supermarket also in Abuja was gutted by fire on December 26, 2021 with goods worth billions of naira destroyed.

The cause of the fire is yet to be disclosed by government agencies.
