New Research Reveals the Secret to a Lasting Relationship

A new research has made shocking revelation of the secret to a lasting relationship, but many will surely doubt it.

Sure, they might make the rest of us gag but selfies may be the secret for successful couples. Those smug, loved-up couples you see on Facebook may be on to something.

New research has found that couples who regularly post selfies and write on each other's walls are more likely to go the distance (or at least, they were more likely to reach their six month anniversary.

Why? It's likely due to the 'public commitment theory', where posting mementos of your romance online helps you see your relationships from the perspective of your friends and family. Basically, if your Facebook posts seem perfect, your own perception of your relationship may seem perfect in real life, too.

One surprising finding: the more mutual Facebook friends a couple had, the less likely they were to be together in six month's time.
The Facebook test may be a more appropriate relationship test for modern times.
