A 94-year-old war hero hailed in the country for his war heroics is in serious trouble after he sexually molested a woman in her home.

A 94-year-old man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault against a 73-year-old woman. Robert Lehnert has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Prosecutors claim Lehnert sexually assaulted the victim, who was an acquaintance, in her home on Jan. 6.
It’s a far cry from the decorated Marine pilot seen in a 2012 documentary about World War II’s “Lost Squadron.”
Lehnert was arrested earlier this week and has been released from custody on $50,000 bond. According to court documents, Lehnert told investigators he apologized to the victim. That partial confession helped lead to his arrest.
Lehnert is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Feb. 5 to be formally advised of the charges.
