NAF Neutralise Bandit Leader, Dogo Umaru, 40 Others

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has eliminated a bandit leader, Dogo Umaru and many of his men.

According to NAF, the airstrike killed at least 40 other bandits near Tsamben Babare village in Katsina.
 
Umaru and his followers are responsible for attacks on Magama village in Jibia Local Government Area.
 
The recent attack carried out by Umaru and his men was an invasion that led to the death of the Magama Divisional Police Officer and a soldier injured.
 
It was gathered that one of the aircraft attacked the terrorists in successive passes, while the second targeted fleeing terrorists.
 
An Army intelligence officer that spoke with PRNigeria noted that security agencies have intensified operations in the North-West.
 
He said, “Strikes by a NAF aircraft and ground troops combat in Kaduna and Niger eliminated scores of terrorists near the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and along Shadadi-Maundu last week.”
