A group of thieves have gotten more than they bargained for after their ploy to siphon fuel from a tour bus ended in a most traumatic experience.
Some thieves in Australia got more than they bargained for after they tried siphoning fuel from a tour bus but ended up with excreta.
According to Laverton Police Sen. Sgt Heath Soutar, the thieves were attempting to siphon gas from the tour bus that was visiting the area.
The bus was parked overnight so the thieves attempted to steal fuel from it. During the theft, they mistakenly accessed the waste compartment of the vehicle instead of the fuel tank and ended up siphoning excreta.
The thieves abandoned their gear and ran after their attempt went south.
The discarded cap from the waste tank was found on the floor next to the bus and the fuel tank was still full. Police concluded that the thieves escaped after they were left with a bad taste in their mouths.
