Controversial billionaire rapper, Kanye West now has hired a fourth divorce attorney, after firing his lawyer, Chris Melcher ahead of his Wednesday court hearing against ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
TMZ reported that Kanye fired Melcher after their relationship “became extremely difficult, with little communication.”
Sources told the outlet that West kept changing his mind on whether he wanted to settle things amicably with Kardashian, 41, or put up a fight – much like he did when he objected to her initial divorce demands.
The rapper will now be represented by attorney Samantha Spector, who recently represented Nicole Young in her divorce from producer Dr. Dre.
A hearing for West and Kardashian’s ongoing divorce battle has been scheduled for Wednesday, where a judge is expected to make a decision on the reality star’s request to be declared legally single.
TMZ reports that while Kardashian is expected to call in or video chat for the hearing, it’s “highly unlikely” her rapper ex will show up in person.
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. They share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
The Skims founder who has since moved on with “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson, previously slammed West and his inability to keep a lawyer in a statement posted to her Instagram Story last month.
