Man Shares Screenshot Of Debit Alert He Got After Allegedly Being Forced To Make A Transfer By Lagos Police Officers

The Twitter user alleged that he was extorted of N25,000 by the police officers; N15,000 cash and N10,000 through transfer.

 

A Twitter user took to the microblogging platform to share a screenshot of a debit alert he received after police officers in Agege area of Lagos state allegedly extorted him.

@VarlenWest alleged that he was extorted of N25,000 by the police officers; N15,000 cash and N10,000 through transfer.

From the screenshot shared, the money was sent to one Zainab Amira Salisu. The Twitter user wrote;

''I was extorted 25,000...15,000 cash and 10,000 through transfer by agege police officers.''



 

Responding to this, the Nigerian Police Force tweeted;

''Hello @VarlenWest, kindly reach the Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit on any of the following numbers: +2348057000001, +2348057000002 or +2348057000003(SMS). They are on standby to resolve your complaint, please.''
