Michael Adeyeye, a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) pastor, who was abducted during a vigil on Saturday in Ekiti State and taken to Kwara State has escaped from his abductors.

The pastor, who escaped unhurt, told his community members in Ajoni Local Council Development Area in the state that he escaped when the abductors fell asleep.

“I rose and stealthily moved away from the location into the bush. I kept walking in the bush until Tuesday morning when I got to Eruku, a town in Kwara State.

“I am happy for my escape. I am happy to be reunited with my people and church members. I can see love from the community,’’ he said.

City & Crime learnt that on Sunday, the abductors had demanded N50 million ransom from the pastor’s family. They, however, reduced the money to N15 million.
