Fire Razes Two Petrol Tankers In Kano

An alarm was raised after residents sighted smoke coming from the premises around 6:55 am on Wednesday March 23.

Two petrol tankers belonging to a coaltar manufacturing company exploded at Hadeija road in the Kano metropolis.

An alarm was raised after residents sighted smoke coming from the premises around 6:55 am on Wednesday March 23.

The Kano State Fire Service arrived at the scene at about 7:00 am to contain the fire after being notified of the incident.

Though the cause of the fire has not been uncovered, Public Relations Officer of the service, Yusuf Abdullahi linked it to hoodlums smoking around a nearby refuse dump.
