Supreme Court Orders Ex-Pension Director Yakubu to Serve 6 Years Prison Term, Refund N22.9 Billion

Yakubu was imprisoned in 2018 by the Abuja Court of Appeal for defrauding the Federal Government of N22.9bn Police Pension Fund.

 
A former Federal Director of Pensions, John Yakubu has been ordered to serve six years in prison.
 
This comes after the Supreme Court of Nigeria, on Wednesday in Abuja, upheld the 2018 decision of the Court of Appeal.
 
The apex court also ordered him to refund N22.9bn to the Federal Government.
 
Yakubu was imprisoned in 2018 by the Abuja Court of Appeal for defrauding the Federal Government of N22.9bn Police Pension Fund.
