Gunmen Kidnap DELSU Lecturer, Idamoyibo, Two Others From Delta Community

It was learnt that the gunmen chased, shot and punctured the victim’s vehicle when he made attempt to escape to Abraka Community after a family meeting.

In what will come across as a really heartbreaking development, some gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the head of the music department of the Delta State University, Abraka, Prof.Ovaborhene Idamoyibo and two others who were with him in his Toyota Highlander jeep at Eku junction in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident occurred on Saturday night of April 9, DAILY POST can report.

It was learnt that the gunmen chased, shot and punctured the victim’s vehicle when he made attempt to escape to Abraka Community after a family meeting.

They took the victim and the two others and left the scene through the Sapele/Eku road.

The kidnappers have also demanded a fifty million naira ransom from the wife of the victim, Mr. Rosemary Idamoyibo. They gave her an ultimatum to come with the money to secure the release of her husband latest by Friday this week.

In a WhatsApp message, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe said, “Not aware yet”.
