An Indian national identified as Devendra Singh reportedly hung himself in his office.

The 42-year-old's body was found in his private office on Egbeyemi Street, in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State.

Singh, a field worker at the Agro Nigeria Limited, Ikeja, was driven to his office by his driver last Friday, April 29, and he exited the car for his office.

However, at close of work, Singh did not come out of his office.

His driver got no response after calling his line multiple times so he peeped through his boss' office window and saw his body dangling from a rope.

The driver immediately alerted his boss' colleagues.

Singh's body has been deposited in the mortuary at the Mainland Hospital, Yaba.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and said that investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding Singh’s death.
