2023: APC Adjusts Timetable, Fixes New Dates For Primaries

Argungu said following the release of the new timetable, all the dates for the primaries into elective positions have been shifted with immediate effect.

 
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released new information concerning its different primaries for the 2023 general elections.
 
The party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu on Tuesday released a new timetable, saying the old one has been adjusted.
 
Argungu said following the release of the new timetable, all the dates for the primaries into elective positions have been shifted with immediate effect.
 
He disclosed that the governorship primaries scheduled for May 18 have now been shifted to May 20, while that of the House of Assembly earlier fixed for May 20 have now been moved to May 22.
 
Argungun stated that the primaries for Senate and House of Representatives earlier fixed for May 22 and 24 have now been set for May 24 and 25 respectively.
 
He added that the party has fixed Saturday, May 15 for the screening of presidential, governorship, Senate and House of Representatives aspirants, while that of the House of Assembly will take place on May 14.
 
Argungun said the adjustment of the timetable follows the encroachment of two work-free days in the course of executing its activities for the 2023 general elections.
 
Meanwhile, the ruling APC has extended its sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2023 general elections.
 
The party on Tuesday evening announced that the deadline for the purchase of the forms for various political offices will close on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
 
For aspirants who have already purchased the forms, they have until Friday, May 13 to submit them while the party prepare for its primary elections.
