Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode,has congratulated the new leadership of the National Assembly, expressing delight over Gbajabiamila's maturity in handling defeat.
Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode, has congratulated the new leadership of the National Assembly.
The one time aviation Minister, who was the Director of Publicity of the PDP 2015 Presidential Campaign Committee, congratulated Senator Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu for respectively emerging as President and Deputy President of the 8th Senate Session.
On his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode wrote: “My heart goes out to my brother Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on the outcome of the election for Speaker of House of Representatives. Though he lost, he fought a good fight and I am very proud of him.”
The All Progressive Congress' Saraki emerged as the Senate President defying the party's choice and picking his the PDP's Ike Ekweremadu as his Deputy.
Both Saraki and Ekweremadu emerged unopposed in an election that was conducted while most APC senators were away for a crucial meeting with President Muhammad Buhari.
