A little boy, his father and mother have been brutally murdered by a heartless group of vengeful gang during a gang war leaving whole country boiling with anger.
The little boy was murdered alongside his father and mother in Mexico
The haunting image of a murdered seven-month-old baby has now become the real cause and reason why gang violence must be stopped and avoided. The height of gang violence in Mexico saw the the child and his parents, slaughtered in a violent and tragic gang war attack.
The innocent little boy identified as Marcos Miguel Pano Colón was in his father Juan Alberto Pano Ramos' arms when they were shot dead alongside his mother Alba Isabel Colón, 17.
The unidentified heartless gang murdered the family in the city of Pinotepa Nacional on Friday night, and since then disturbing images of their bodies have been circulating on Facebook. A prosecutor said: "A rival drug gang from [the neighbouring state of] Guerrero located them and had them riddled with bullets."
Social media users are demanding that the image should force authorities to end the rampant gang violence across Mexico once and for all.
A Facebook group has also been set up demanding action.
One post read: "This picture is running all around the world.
"It is just like the Syrian boy.
"Pinotepa Nacional became famous last night, not from an earthquake, sadly, but because of this image."
Another said: "There should be no likes for this image.
"If you must, it is better to have many or millions of comments of sympathy, and [comments of] contempt for the cowards who did this and the ineptitude of the federal government."
A user added: "Do you remember the Syrian boy? Do you remember how indignant you were, and how you put your flag on Facebook?
"Because this is what happens in Mexico, to be precise in Pinotepa Oaxaca, where drug traffickers killed this family, including this little angel of seven months."
A memorial for the young boy will be held on Monday. Four people have been detained in connection with the killings, the Mirror reports.
