The Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), today approved the appointment of four new High Court Judges for the state.
The Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), today approved the appointment of four new High Court Judges for the state.
According to the Lagos state Judiciary's spokesperson, Mrs. Grace Alo, the newly appointed judges will be sworn in on Friday.
She further disclosed that the approval followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council which is headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloma Mukhtar.
The newly appointed judges are Mrs. Iyabo Akinkugbe, Mrs. Serifat Sonaike, Mr. Abdulfattah Lawal and Mr. Abisoye Bashua.
With the newly appointees the total numbers of judges in the state judiciary would be 54.
