A woman has brutally stabbed her boyfriend and left him to die in the house after an argument over a text message she received from another man.
A 17-year-old girl has been arraigned in a Laikipia court for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a knife after arguing over a love text message and left him to die, News24 reports. The incident happened in Kenya.
The woman allegedly stabbed Silas Simiyu on the left shoulder, using a sharp knife, leaving him badly injured and bleeding seriously, a Resident Magistrate, Samson Temu was told in December.
Accordint to what Simiyu told the court he had requested the girlfriend to explain about a love text message in her phone from an unconfirmed sender but instead of explaining, she grabbed a knife and stabbed him.
Simiyu's life was saved after neighbours came to his rescue before taking him to the hospital. The young man later reported the matter to the police, who then arrested the girl.
The complainant also told the court that the accused had been threatening to kill him and had earlier stabbed him twice.
The accused however denied the charge as the case was set to be mentioned on February 11, this year.
