The student was making a call with her phone inside her parents’ house at the Obilubi Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, when lightning struck.
Lightning has killed a first-year student of the Imo State University Owerri (IMSU).
According to reports, the lady identified as Chiamaka Obodo was reportedly struck dead by lightning following heavy downpour.
Information gathered revealed that the 20-year-old was making a call with her phone inside her parents’ house at the Obilubi Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, when lightning struck.
She died on the spot before help could get to her.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the nearest morgue.
She will be laid to rest on Friday, June 17, 2022.
