Shock As Bandits Go Wild, Ambush Nigerian Soldiers In Plateau

According to a report by Daily Post, a team of Nigerian soldiers have been ambushed.

The soldiers at Zurak Kampani, Wase local government area of Plateau state were ambushed by bandits.

Wise Local Government Area Headquarters is 100 km drive to Zurak Kampani community.

A source told DAILY POST that the bandits killed one soldier and injured one other, saying that the soldiers stationed in the area repelled the attack.

He stated that a day before the ambush, bandits stormed Pinau village of the same local government area, and rustled over 500 cattle.

He lamented that Wase communities have of recent been experiencing banditry activities in recent time, forcing many to flee their homes for safety.

However, the spokesperson of a multi-security taskforce, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, who confirmed the ambush, said no soldier was killed in the incident and explained that the taskforce has been able to maintain peace in the state.
