A notorious serial pedophile who raped seven under-aged girls before running away from the community has been apprehended and stripped naked by the community youths.
The long arm of law has caught up with a serial rapist and pedophile who defiled seven under-aged girls and ran away for several months. Youths of Okere community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State apprehended the suspected today (Wednesday).
Punch reports that the suspect works as a security man in the Warri office of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
It was gathered that the man has been molesting little children for a long time now. When his evil deeds were discovered many months ago, he barely escaped after youths of the community had tried to catch him during a hot pursuit.
However, his luck ran out after he sneaked back and was working as a security guard. The irate youths caught up with him at his duty post and stripped him naked. He was taken round different parts of the community before he was detained at the community cell, a witness said.
It was gathered that the suspect, a father of four children, was first exposed by his late wife. This led to the earlier pursuit and escape from the community. It was also revealed that the suspect was said to have allegedly indulged in the same offence at Edjeba community where he escaped to.
The Police Area Commander in Warri Mr. Mohammed Muazu confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody for further investigation.
