A heartless man has brutally raped his own 13-year-old stepdaughter and impregnating her before running away from arrest.
Femi Orojo has allegedly raped and impregnated his 13-year-old step-daughter, Odunayo in Okitipupa town in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state. The man committed the brutal act in October, 2015 while his wife and mother of the victim, Mrs. Bunmi Joshua was not at home.
However, there was drama as the suspect took to his heels after confessing the crime. According to the mother, who had been married to the suspect for the past six years without any child, she discovered that Odunayo was five months pregnant last week when she felt sick.
She said, “It was one of my neighbour who called my attention to it recently that my girl was pregnant and anytime time I asked her about who was responsible for the pregnancy, she would be crying that if she said it she would die.
“I then took her to my pastor and after much pressure; she confessed that it was my husband.
“She told my pastor that when I was not around sometimes in October, my husband forcefully entered into her room with a machete and threatened to kill her if she did not allow him to sleep with her.
“After gaining entrance into her room, he forcefully had sex with her. After the sexual intercourse, my child said he brought out a red handkerchief to swear and warn her never to tell anybody or she would die. That is why she did not tell anyone. ”
Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph confirmed the incident and said the police had started investigation on the matter.
Joseph added that the suspect is still on the run. He also asked members of the public with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the man to report at any police station near them.
