Amusan, who obliterated the world record in the semi-final where she clocked 12.12sec, powered to win the final in 12.06sec.

 
Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan has been congratulated after making history in the United States.
 
This came after the star won the 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States.

Reacting, Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate wrote:
 
"I sincerely congratulate Tobi Amusan on winning the 100M hurdles gold medal and setting a world record. Her tears at the ceremony podium while the Nigerian anthem played, connects that our dear country needs leaders to match the talents and ambitions of her youths.-PO"
