One of Africa's most popular musical duo ever, Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, have been slammed by fans.

They were dragged by social media users following their encounter with a fan in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, on Friday night.

In a footage, the brothers were seen performing on stage to their latest song ‘Jaiye’, when a fervent fan ran toward them, but one of the brothers pushed him away aggressively.

Peter, who had posted the video on his Instagram account, received mixed opinions from several of their fans.

Many justified P-Square’s gesture, while a few others posited that the young fan could have been badly injured owing to the force that accompanied the push.

Below are some of such reactions:

@Madeyy wrote: “This is not nice at all. He is only a fan. Why push him so hard off the stage?.”

@emmanuelluke17 who supported their action wrote: ” that guy was wrong coming from behind to grab psquare”

@hawantusombie said: “ just that I feel pity for the man rudeboy pushed”

@_rasjust wrote: “Una wan wound d fan that came to rejoice with una haba”

@richondfarrickstudio opined: “These musicians need to be very diplomatic with their fans, That’s why you have security”
