A man trying to show off his cash and costly watch has learnt the bitter lesson why showing off material possessions on social media could be self-destructive.

The 18-year-old, from Florida, learnt it the hard way after he took a picture of $280 (£193) in his home on Sugar Pine Drive in West Boca and posted it on the self-deleting picture and video site.
He was shocked to his bone-marrows when within hours, the wallet and money was taken away from him by force.
He was shocked when two men wearing masks and carrying knives turned up at his flat and demanded he hand over the cash or be killed, which he did. The thieves took the money and watch quietly and left.
The thieves were spotted by a woman walking her dog, and a police officer in the area by chance noticed the number-plate of the getaway car, Metro reports.
However, the victim later told police he had recognised the voice of one of the robbers as belonging to 21-year-old Faried Said. Said was has been arrested by the police and charged for the crime.
Said faces armed robbery and burglary charges.
