A local dog breed was rescued from the death-bound hands of a big python that almost squeezed it to death in a nearby bus in the South-south part of Nigeria.

Reports have it that a huge python in one of the suburbs of Edo state caught a dog and was on the verge of killing it after it successfully wrapped its entire body around the pet thereby rendering it immobile.

Some villagers spotted the python and cut off its head with a cutlass during which the dog was rescued. The dog was still alive but it couldn't move.
Some Veterinary Doctors said the dog is as good as dead due to some suspected breakage of bones in the course of the attack.
