A man has been caught on camera hitting his wife continuously for several minutes in broad daylight on a busy road.

A video has emerged on facebook showing a man hitting and raining blows on his wife at a toll plaza in Johor Baru, Singapore. The video has since gone viral, prompting outraged social media users to appeal for witnesses to lodge a police report.
A facebook User, Durian Kopi O broke the news when he posted the minute-long clip on his facebook page last Friday evening. It has been viewed nearly 250,000 times, garnered over 2000 Likes and shares. Close to 1,000 users also left comments on the post, with many condemning the man's actions.
In the video, the woman is seen sitting by the side of the road, near the Tol Plaza Ayer Hitam, in front of a black car. The man, dressed in a red shirt, can be seen raining multiple blows on her. A teenager said to be the woman's daughter is also seen trying to shield her from the blows.
A facebook user Hazwati Hanapi,who commented on the incident, said if the deed was carried out in a public area he wondered what other abuses the woman has been subjected to behind closed doors.
Kluang district police chief Mohamad Laham confirmed that the incident had taken place, but said no police report had been lodged.
