Ossai Success has thrown his support behind Sonia Ekweremadu after she publicly begged for a kidney. Sonia is the daughter of embattled Senator Ike Ekweremadu still in UK prison following his arrest for alleged organ harvesting.
Success who is an aide to Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa stated that Sonia deserves free kidney donations from Nigerians.
Success noted that Ekweremadu played a role in shaping the country and for that, citizens should not hesitate in offering to be Sonia’s kidney donor.
Sonia had on Monday begged members of the public to donate kidney to her, after she was diagnosed of a rare kidney disease.
The 25-year-old, whose parents are currently facing charges of organ harvesting in the United Kingdom, noted that she had to drop out of the university due to her ailment.
She pleaded that since her ailment was genetic, none of her family members can donate to her, adding that the donation came with no reward according to England laws.
Reacting to the plea, Ossai, on his Facebook page late Monday, wrote, “Ekweremadu’s daughter deserves free kidney donations, Prayers from Nigerians for her father’s role in shaping Nigeria.
“The former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has done well for Nigerians and as such, his daughter deserves free kidney donations from Nigerians.
“Those mocking her are playing with God and nature.
“If you can’t give her your kidney, then pray for her instead of laughing at her family.
“Her father has paid his due as a patriotic Nigerians who as a Politician served Nigerians selflessly.
“This is the time for us Nigerians to pay her back by donating kidney to save his daughter Sonia life . Please, let’s save her.”
