The deceased is reported to have had a domestic disagreement with his wife, resulting in an altercation with his 62-year-old father-in-law which led to his death.
The Kenyan police are looking into the death of a 25-year-old man who passed on while receiving treatment at Kericho County Referral Hospital, after being assaulted by his father-in-law.
The deceased, Godfin Kipkirui Kirwa is reported to have had a domestic disagreement with his wife, resulting in an altercation with his 62-year-old father-in-law which led to his death.
He had sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Kericho County hospital where he succumbed while being treated.
“Godfin Kipkirui died while receiving treatment at Kericho County Hospital where he had been rushed after sustaining serious head injuries after being beaten by his father-in-law Kiprotich Keter. Kipkirui had domestic issues with his wife,” a police report seen by K24 Digital reads.
The body of the deceased was moved to the same hospital’s morgue awaiting an autopsy.
The suspect was arrested and placed in custody and is expected to be arraigned in court.
