Rumours saturated the online media that Chris Ngige could be suffering from health complications as he collapsed before the lower house while defending the budgetary allocations to his ministry.

Following earlier rumours which reported that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, collapsed on the floor of the House of Representatives during budget defence in Abuja, here is proof that the news was a ruse.

The minister has since Monday, February 15, 2016 been attending the 42nd Ordinary Session of the African Regional Labour Advisory Council, taking place in Zambia. The meeting ends tomorrow (Friday).

When contacted by new agencies, he swiftly debunked the rumours which he attributed to his political detractors trying to tarnish his capacity to hold office.
