People have been left shell shocked after a woman stormed a gas station and set herself ablaze after dousing herself with gasoline.
A woman died after setting herself on fire Friday afternoon at a gas station in Buffalo Grove.
According to Chicago Sun-Times, emergency crews were called around 4:15 p.m. to a fire at the Circle K gas station at 50 W. Lake Cook Rd., according to Buffalo Grove police and fire officials.
The woman with severe burns was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where she died at 11:37 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Witnesses told the police she doused her body and clothing in gasoline before setting herself on fire.
Authorities haven’t released the woman’s name.
