It's  yet another day of smiles for Mrs. Josephine Agwu, the airport cleaner who found $28,000 and returned other foreign currencies totaling about N12 million after it was misplaced early last year.

The woman was honoured with other 19 eminent Nigerians at the 2015 Sun Newspaper awards held in Lagos. Agwu bagged the ‘Sun Nigerian Hero 2015 award,’ which was accompanied with a cheque of N500,000 and an additional N100,000 for her rare display of honesty and discipline at a time some Nigerians were grabbing the headlines for the wrong reasons.

She revealed that she was subjected to mockery from colleagues, friends and families for returning the N12m at a time her salary was N7,800 for a 12-hour day job. However, she is not regretting what she did as her rewards are now coming in full.

The woman who expressed surprise at the awards and the favour following her since the act, thanked God for his mercies. Agwu who is from Obonkpa, Nsukka Local Council of Enugu State advised Nigerians to always be truthful, honest and to be contented with what they have.
