Tension has taken over a community in Rivers state as Nigerian military men came head to head with militants leaving causalities behind.

Four persons were feared dead Tuesday in Bori, headquaters of Gokhana local government area as soldiers allegedly engaged loyalists of an ex militant leader, Mr Solomon Ndigbara, aka Osama Bin Ladin in a shoot out.
According to Vanguard, some students of the state owned Kenule Beeson Sarowiwa Polytechnic, Bori said they were trapped in their rooms at press time as they could not find vehicles at the motor park in Bori to convey them to their various destinations.
The students who did not want their names in print said they went for lectures but were told it was a lecture free day
"We were told the school said it was lecture free day from yesterday till further notice. We are sure they don't want to announce closure for now, they are studying the situation”, they said.
Vanguard reports that motor parks, the market and major stores in the area were shut down because of the tension already in the town.
Community sources also said they saw five corpses on Taabaa street, stressing that people were living in fear.
According to the community sources, the supporters of the ex militant leader were chased to Bori by soldiers Tuesday morning and there was an alleged exchange of fire.
