An angry man who was furious with his wife over a disagreement, has shocked residents when he beat her to death in Katsina state.
Tragedy struck in Kankia town of Katsina state when a man, Nasiru Juli allegedly beat his wife, Hadiza Yusuf Gachi, to death.
The Nation reports that Juli, a resident of Gachi Quarters in Kankia town, had a disagreement with his wife and in the heat of anger, beat her up.
A source said the man reportedly locked the decease in her room after the thorough beating. However, the next morning, shocked residents found her dead in her room.
“When neighbours realised her door was still closed in the morning which is not common with her, they had to force open the door where they found that she was dead”.
A competent source revealed that the matter had been reported to the Criminal Investigation Department of the police.
When contacted, the spokesman of Katsina state police command DSP Aminu Sadik Abubakar said the matter was being investigated.
