Judgement Day: Senator Kashamu's Extradition Hearing To Begin June 25th

The extradition suit against Senator Buruji Kashamu will be heard by Justice Gabriel Kolawole and would commence on June 25th.

 
The extradition suit against Senator Buruji Kashamu by a Federal High Court in Abuja is set to begin on June 25.
 
The case was instituted on May 28, 2015 by the Federal Government and will be heard by Justice Gabriel Kolawole.
 
The application is based on a request by the US Embassy seeking Kashamu’s extradition to face one count of drug related charge before the United States District Court for the Northern Illinois, Eastern Division.
 
It was backed by an affidavit deposed to by the Assistant US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, Diane MacArthur.
 
Kashamu, who represents the Ogun East Senatorial District, is alleged to have conspired with others to intentionally import quantities of mixtures containing heroin between 1992 and 1995.
 
The Senator has however vehemently denied the allegations claiming that the suspect in question is his deceased brother.
