Panic in Oshodi as Lagos Traders and Soldiers Clash, One Feared Dead (photos)

There was serious tension and panic at Ladipo Market Oshodi after soldiers and police clashed with traders leading to the death of one man.

Armed soldiers have engaged traders at Ladipo Market, Oshodi, Lagos state in a gun duel leading to the death of one trader.
 
It was gathered that the soldiers adnd police clased with traders in the early morning of Thursday around 9am as many passersby took cover to avoid stray bullet.
 
 
According to the Punch, an eyewitness, Ikechukwu Sunday, revealed that a trader was hit by a bullet during the encounter and died on the spot, while several others were injured.
 
 
The cause of the clash is yet unknown. But, things are gradually returning to normal as people can be seen walking along the streets and the roads.
