Bill Cosby refused to answer questions about sex assault allegations made against him by various women. During a newly released interview with The Associated Press, the 77-year old Cosby said "there's no response" and "I don't talk about it." He also asked the AP reporter that his on-camera refusal to comment about the allegations not be used, saying, "And I would appreciate it if it was scuttled."
His exact words were, "I would appreciate it if it was scuttled. I think if you want to consider yourself to be serious, that it will not appear anywhere. I know I didn’t say anything, but I'm asking your integrity that since I didn't want to say anything, but I did answer you in terms of I didn't want to say anything, what value would it have?"
ABC News reported that Cosby, who has never been criminally charged in connection with the allegations and has repeatedly denied them in the past, was first publicly accused of assault 10 years ago in 2004. The allegations have gained attention in recent weeks as a number of women have come forward.
The AP initially did not release the portion of the interview that addressed the rape allegations, but have now released it in because of additional allegations of abuse against the comedian.
