Television Continental has kicked off the year 2016 on a very impressive note with a highly-reputable award to show for it.
It was fun, frills and thrills yesterday Saturday February 27, 2016, as broadcasters from South-West, South-East and Lagos stormed the Grand Ballroom of Barcelona Hotel, Abuja for the much talked about sixth edition of the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards.
Television Continental, otherwise called TVC, has not only remained the station to watch, but has continued to be the station to beat. TVC added a lot more to its numerous awards by winning yet more awards.

In the latest haul, news anchor, Azeezat Olaoluwa won the Best Female Broadcaster award, while Godwin Nwachukwu won the Best Cameraman at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards.
TVC won the Best TV On the Street and the Most Watched Television; it also won the Best TV station of the Year.
Best Video Editor award went to Solomon Oladimeji.
In the radio category, Mary Alimi won of Radio Continental won the Outstanding Presenter; Honeypot while Kubanji Direct, a programme on Radio Continental won the the Best Community Radio Show.
