A woman has nearly died after she jumped from a three-storey window,thinking she was being pursued by a ghost rape attacker.

A woman who was reportedly drunk jumped out of third storey window after mistaking her husband for a 'ghost attacker' .
The unnamed woman was seen clambering out of the window of her flat in the town of Tulun, Russia, after hearing a knocking at her front door. Apparently convinced it was a ghoul who wanted to rape and kill her, she opened the window and began making her way out.
A CCTV footage shows the woman plunging towards the ground before her fall is broken by the canopy of a local TV company. She jumps off the canopy and rolls on the snow-covered ground before going inside the block to get help from the local TV company.
Staff at the firm immediately called for an ambulance.
The woman was taken to hospital where she was treated for cuts and bruises. While there, she told doctors she had heard voices in her head warning that the man outside was a ghost who wanted to attack her and that she should jump.
Police spokesman Igor Martynenko said: "This woman has problems with alcohol and at the moment of her jumping out of the window she had been drinking non-stop for a week.
"Her condition is characterized by different 'visions'."
He added that the man who was trying to get in was her husband who had come home from work on his lunch break.
The woman is now being held in a mental health ward at the hospital.
