The US has experienced another school shooter, this time it was a university. An unknown gunman opened fire at students early Thursday in the library at Florida State University, Florida shooting three students before campus police killed him.
Police say the shooter walked in with a handgun and opened fire. Tallahassee Police spokesman, Dave Northway said the Police confronted the shooter and ordered him to drop his weapon, but instead he fired at them. Police returned fire, killing the gun man.
Two of the victims were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Health Care hospital where one was listed in critical condition and one other in stable condition. A third person who was grazed by a bullet was treated and released at the scene.
Chief Michael DeLeo of the Tallahassee Police Department said it will take hours and days to put all the pieces together to figure out why the shooting happened adding,"Everyone wants to know why, and that's the hard question we are going to continue to investigate and try to find those answers for everybody."
