Tearful Sight: Man's Neck Swells to the Size of Watermelon as Family Begs for Help (Graphic Photos)

The pathetic story of Arisa Paul whose neck has swollen the size of a watermelon because of a cancerous disease that threatens to take his life as he begs for help.

Arisa Paul, 27, is totally unrecognizable as a giant tumour the size of a big watermelon has made his neck swollen leaving him in total pain. The young man Nigerian who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma three years ago but cannot afford the treatment to get rid of the deadly disease.
 
He needs a life-saving operation in the UK to salvage his condition and give him a chance of survival. The tumours are growing even after doctors managed to reduce the size a year ago.
 
His family and friends have asked for the help of people to deliver Paul as he needs urgent radiotherapy treatment in the UK to survive.
 
A friend of his in London, Cynthia Nnadi, created a gofundme page for Paul to help him get the treatment he desperately needs.

She wrote on the page: "This is an Urgent Appeal for a dear friend.
 
"My secondary school friend Arisa Paul has been battling cancer for years now, and is in dare need of your help to further continue prospective treatments.

"As Paul has been fighting this terrible condition for years, means that finances have already been stretched so far and his family are unable to meet the extra cost for treatment and require help."
 
So far over £12,000 has been raised to help Paul by over 400 people in 11 days.
 
Cynthia later posted: "I have spoken to Paul, he has assured me he is in good hands and his family is doing all they can to get him the best help.

"My secondary school friend Arisa Paul has been battling cancer for years now, and is in dare need of your help to further continue prospective treatments.

"As Paul has been fighting this terrible condition for years, means that finances have already been stretched so far and his family are unable to meet the extra cost for treatment and require help."

"I confirm that Paul is in good hands, and is getting medical care from his doctors in Nigeria, while we finalise arrangements to get him abroad.

"Thank you all for your support, and the efforts being made by everyone to save Paul is very much appreciated, may God Reward you all."
