The Lagos State chapter of the PDP, has tendered a 14 day ultimatum to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to publicly declare his assets upon assuming office.
The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the newly elected Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode to publicly declare his assets.
The party, which gave the governor till Monday, 29th June, also tasked the governor to make public in the media, the details of the handover notes and assets of his predecessor, Mr Raji Fashola.
In a statement by its state publicity secretary, Mr Taofik Gani, the party warned that “if the governor fails to take up this moral challenge, he will thereafter be labelled ‘Governor Pretender’ throughout his tenure.
"The deliberate neglect will however compel us and other well meaning Lagosians to explore the relevance of the Freedom of Information Act (FoI Act) on the matter.”
