Edwin Okon, Head Coach of the Super Falcons has expressed optimism that the Nigeria's Women's national team will scale through to the finals of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

Head Coach of Nigeria's Women's national team, Edwin Okon insists Friday's 0-2 loss to Australia does not signal the end for his side at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

Okon however believes his plan can turn things around by recording a stunning upset over highly-ranked United States in their third and final preliminary game.

"I thought it was a very good match. I congratulate the winners, Australia.

"We have to get back out and score goals.

"We must qualify. Nigeria must qualify to the next round. So we must get back to the form we had against Sweden," Okon was quoted as saying on www.fifa.com.

"Let's put the defeat against Australia behind us and be focused on picking the maximum points against USA. We can do it only if we believe. This is our last chance of qualifying from the group and we have to make it count," Okon said.
