Peter Okoye, one of the singers from the famous Afrobeats duo Psquare, has tried to make clear his reason for supporting Peter Obi in the forthcoming elections.
Popular Nigerian singer Peter Psquare Okoye has revealed that his decision to support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party is not because he's from the South East.
According to him, if you replace the candidates contesting in the forthcoming election with Yemi Osinbajo and Orji Kalu, he will not vote for the latter because of his tribe.
The singer said this in a post on Instagram to squash any idea that his support for Obi is because he's Igbo.
He wrote:
If you think I am supporting Peter Obi because he is Igbo, try replacing him with Yemi Osibanjo against Orji Uzo Kalu and see if myself and Igbos won’t massively vote for Yemi Osibanjo.
