A popular police station in Lagos state is currently being engulfed by massive inferno with resident scampering for safety.
The burning building
Police divisional headquarters, Panti in Yaba is currently on fire.
The fire started at about 1:30pm at the police station also known as State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Panti, Yaba area of Lagos.
Eyewitness revealed that Policemen were scaring passers-by away, preventing them from taking pictures.
Other sources claimed that the inferno has hit a Police barrack beside the station. It is not immediately clear what was responsible for the fire outbreak
Reports have it that men of the Lagos State Fire Service arrived the scene already. According to the eyewitness, there is great panic among residents who are afraid that the fire may extend to other buildings.
