Two teenagers have been nabbed by shocked passersby after they were caught in broad daylight having s*x in public.
Luck has ran out on two teenagers after they were caught having s*x in front of a hotel in Katsina, the Katsina state capital, in broad daylight. The two identified as Aminu Iliyasu and his girlfriend, Safiya Umar, were remanded in prison custody by a Sharia court.
According to reports, the two were lovers and had dared each other to have s*x in public while damning its consequences. In the ensuing drama, the two embarked on the challenge and began having s*x in broad daylight to the consternation of onlookers.
But their joy was short-lived as passersby who stopped to watch the illicit scene arrested them and handed them over to the police.
The Tribune reports that, when their case was mentioned in court during the week, the prosecuting police inspector, Mohammed Usman, told the Upper Sharia court that some concerned citizens of the state caught the two lovebirds having s*x around 4:00 p.m. in front of a popular hotel in the state.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge and begged for leniency. The prosecutor told the court that their offence contravened sections 120, 187 and 347 of the Sharia Penal Code of Katsina State.
The Sharia judge, Ibrahim Korau, then remanded the suspects and adjourned the case to 21 March for hearing.
