Shock As Man Hangs Self After Coming Back from Vigil

A horror incident has left family and church members of King of Kings Church at Taju Bello Street, Iju Ishaga shocked after a member who came back from night vigil killed himself.

 
A man who reportedly went  to a church vigil at Iju Ishaga area of Lagos on Saturday has hanged himself on a tree. The man simply identified as Taofik was said to have attended King of Kings Church at Taju Bello Street, Iju Ishaga before the incident.
 
According to the Lagos State police public relations officer, SP Dolapo Badmos who confirmed the suicide, he said the man committed suicide around around 5.30am.
 
It was gathered that the incident was reported by the assistant pastor of the church, Odunike Abiodun who made a statement about the case at Iju police station.
 
Badmos said, the “victim died by hanging himself on a tree in a valley close to a river near the church where he came for night vigil. Detectives from the division are on the scene and investigation is on going to unravel the reason behind his act.’’
