Update: Police Parade Officer Who Assaulted Man In Port Harcourt

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed that the trial of the officers will commence soon.

The police officer who physically assaulted a man in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, alongside two of his colleagues has been paraded by the  Nigeria Police Force.

A video showing the officer slapping and flogging the yet-to-be-identified man, went viral a few days ago.

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Monday, April 10, disclosed that the officers have been arrested and would be at the force headquarters in Abuja today April 11.

In an update shared on his Twitter handle on Tuesday evening, Adejobi gave the names of the erring officers as Inspector Adejoh Siaka; Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari. He said their trial will commence soon.

‘’Inspector Adejoh Siaka; Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari from Rivers State. These are the men who slapped a man on the road in Rivers. They reported at the Force Headquarters today. Trial will soon commence. We will update you as soon as possible. Thanks.''Adejobi tweeted.
